This could get very interesting if it would make it to court...a whole can of worms could be opened if it does...and not exactly in her favor.

I am curious about this item:
"She also says that following her termination, she was unable to find employment as an economic developer because YCDC officers and committee members “provided untrue negative references with the intention of preventing her from obtaining employment.” She also alleges that these comments were “made with actual malice.”
as well as....
"There were no specifics listed as to the slander issue."
I can't see how this charge would have any legs unless someone who interviewed her at a new place told her of what they were told in regards to hiring her.

Well maybe she got to listen in on a reference check too? Who knows maybe she had a friend call them while she was around or maybe she did a reference check on herself. Maybe shes the one giving herself a reference check???
Either way she is either stupid or crazy. If someone owed me that much money i wouldnt be waiting for so long to collect. She basically took the wind out of her own sails. She might as well press her luck somewhere else and say she ordered a cheese burger from a fast food joint and it was made wrong and she wants a new one. I think she would have a better return on her complaints then and she might win something. I dont see this going to court it would make more sense just to shut her up and pay her off and be done with her instead of making a spectical out of it.

She was offered a very respectable settlement (more than what she claims is owed to her) earlier, which she refused for reasons known only to her, but one gets the impression that perhaps greed and going after only certain members of her former board are more likely motives.

There's so much to know about this situation.

She planned this whole lawsuit thing since the day she was hired. This is how this whole deal was going to go down. She spent as much money as possible, calling it business expenses, went on lavish trips she said were to bring businesses to town, etc. She claims she brought all these businesses to town, but the truth is that not only did she have very little to do with any of these businesses coming in, in most cases she couldn't be allowed to take the lead with the recruitment because she was so arrogant and a turn off for potential business owners. She played games the whole time she was here and is now playing another one.

People have no idea.

Sounds like Frank has an idea.

Once again her ego has taken over. If she had accepted their original offer and then moved on she would be fine. But no, she has to drag the whole town in the dirt..well, I say bring it on. There are many characture witnesses ready to give their side of the story...not to mention her ex-husband's family who might have some interesting stories to tell.
I don't recall hearing about someone holding a gun to her head to accept the job at SENDD at a lesser pay than what she was making at YCDC. Didn't mention in the article that she has since quit that job.
What would be interesting is to contact these many businesses she helped bring to York and ask exactly what her role was? In fact, go to Fillmore County and see what those folks thought too? That would be interesting reading.

You're absolutely right Frank. She has been planning this for a long time, deliberatly not using vacation time or turning in receipts on a timely basis, even when asked, or turning them in 3-4 years late. She took credit in Fillmore County for bringing in businesses when the only thing she really did there was bring in low-income housing, and then leave, much the same as she did here. Former employees were "slaves" to her obsessive, bizarre demands.

It was my understanding that the good folks in Fillmore County had enough of her and practically drove her to York County so they could be rid of her. Maybe that should be done — have the newspaper call all these companies and ask them if she really was the reason they came here. And if she was — the sole reason companies moved here and spent millions of dollars — No one should have ever fired her if she had that kind of power over people, banks, CEOs, etc. Then again, if she had that much power, she should be president of the United States — Obama couldn't even compete with that kind of talent.
