I wish this place the best of luck, but I fear that it isn't going to make it. I don't say this cause of quality or prices or anything, simply location. It's a bad spot, and lets face it, York doesn't really do well giving new places to eat a chance around here. I want to try it, but right now, I'm trying to watch what I eat so it might be a while. I truly do hope this place does well.

They may have opened at the worst possible time, the health challenge.

I've been there several times since they opened. It's a very nice addition to the community. I just hope people will give it a shot--think they will be impressed.

the health challenge was an issue for me, but i got a grilled chicken breast without the cheese and it was great!

the philly cheese steak is awesome and so are the fried sweet potatoe bites. The bites are even better with brown sugar and butter.

I LOVE the sweet potato bites at Southside...and I'm not a big fan of sweet tators!

I've been impressed with the number of locals giving it a try. I know it's easy to think of the place as it once was, but there are some real hard working folks who are putting a lot of time, effort and money into making the whole facility (Camelot, Lounge and now Southside) a success. The food is very good and Evelyn and her crew work really hard to make the experience a good one. Thank you York for at least giving it a chance...I think they will be fine.
Went to a meeting today to discuss a new Event--THE GREAT PLAINS WINE AND BEER FESTIVAL scheduled for June 5th of this summer. They want to feature wineries and breweries in NE, KS, SD and IA. Think this has the potential of being a really nice event and can bring a lot of people to the area. More later.

We have been out there to eat at least once a week since they opened and the food has been great everytime...plenty of food and the prices are certainly right. The thing we like about it are the different menu items like the hot pastrami sandwich, sweet potato spots, Vadalia onion rings and one of the best pork fritter sandwiches I've ever had. Everyone will have to get past the old reputations, and that takes time. If anyone can make a good go of it, it will be Evelyn and her crew. She certainly has the knowledge and experience behind her. The Wine and Beer Festival sounds like a great new event for York in June! Just local samplings going to be available Chamberguy?

Been there several times...best burger in town....best omelots too. Very reasonable. Hear they are going to have a festival with wine and beer ...i like beer :)

I will have to disagree with the burger. It tastes like one of those cheap walmart patties with no seasoning. For the best burger i would have to vote the midway. They have a pretty mean chicken fried steak too that i feel is better then chances r. The pickles on the other hand. Them are some of the best pickles from restaurants i have tasted just something about them and the flavor. I will more then likely eat there a few times the staff is usually in good spirits so far during the day. Not sure how many single mothers work there but that could explain why they all look tired later on in the night. Darn deadbeat daddy population is really high in this town. Havent had the pastrami yet but im looking forward to it. I think everyone should give it a chance. I wish they would have a philly cheese steak night or philly buffet they are just that good. I ate their brats and they were pretty good too

We tried it once when they first opened. Main complaint was when I substituted a side salad for the fries they charged me full price for the salad, most places just up charge $1 or $1.50. So my salad and hamburger came to almost $10, not worth near that much. It was a very good salad, not so much the hamburger, agree with whatsnext, seemed prepackaged and frozen.
