Did you even read the article, dad123? It seems fairly obviously why he only got the fine.

Also appearing in District Court for an arraignment was Cliff Swanson, 43, of York, who is charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm, which is a Class 3 felony. The prosecution alleges that Swanson was in the possession of a firearm on Nov. 27, 2008, despite the fact he was convicted of a felony in 1988 in Ventura County, Calif. No further information on the case was included in the criminal file.

York County Attorney Tim Sieh says that Swanson was convicted of a felony in 1998 in California, which bars him from having a firearm. Yet, in November, 2008, officers saw a gun inside Swanson’s pickup while responding to a domestic situation.
I think the responding to a domestic situation is what makes people wonder (at least me.) This isn't the first time Cliff has had issues w/LE. I too, know Cliff & basically he's a nice sort of guy, but he does have another sided to him (as I'm sure we all do.)

i dont know him but i think its stupid he had to go to court over someone elses gun. my friends brother was a felon and my friend had to get rid of his bb gun because his mom was afraid my friends brother would get busted. I think sometimes there needs to be a bigger white area in the laws especially considering a youth toy. as for gless he may be not so bad after all. if your stupid and do stupid things but you try to do it right he will give you a chance if your stupid and just act stupid when you do stupid things your prolly going to jail. Hes probably over fair with some people and he gets stomped for it. considering we dont have enough jail cells in the state prison to hold everybody its probably a good thing not everyone he sees goes to prison because they would probably be giving parole early anyways.

Most of you people on here wouldn't know the difference between a cork gun and a 50 cal. Never did it say he HELD a gun. Guilty by association? You're all guilty of something!

And I think you're guilty of talking crazy! What does any of that even mean?

1hotmom, it doesn't matter what judgmental things your mind comes up with when you think of him. You preconceived notions don't correlate to who he is.

Anything less than the best is a felony.
